Pizza Margherita

The simplest and, probably the best of all pizzas - just let the quality of the sauce and the cheese do the talking. There is no need for anything else sometimes!


Step 1

Roll out the dough ball to approx 6-8 inches diameter

Step 2

Smooth 2 tbs of the tomato sauce onto the base using the back of a spoon

Step 3

Place the sliced mozzarella on to the base

Step 4

Place the pizza onto the base of the pizza oven using a pizza peel then rotate the pizza every 20-30 seconds for an even cook.

Step 5

After approx 1 - 1.5 minutes remove the cooked pizza from the oven using the pizza peel. Place on a plate or wooden board. Garnish with basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil if liked.


1 dough ball (see dough recipe) or 1 ready made pizza base

2 tbs tomato sauce (see tomato sauce recipe)

1/4 of a ball of fresh mozzarella sliced into rounds

Basil leaves to garnish

Olive oil to garnish
