Cooking the poussin in the outdoor oven gives such a wonderfully crisp skin and that taste you can only get from outdoor cooking. This is great served with a green salad and potatoes boulangere.
The simplest and, probably the best of all pizzas - just let the quality of the sauce and the cheese do the talking. There is no need for anything else sometimes!
We have tried many different dough recipes and always come back to this one as it's the tastiest and easiest we have created so far!
This is a super tasty tomato sauce which can be tweaked and adapted each time. Make a large batch and then freeze what you don't use so it's ready for the next pizza night.
One of our friends is dairy intolerant so we knocked up with this little pizza for him to try - needless to say he loved it and a second one was made pretty soon after the first!
There appears to be some debate over this pizza choice but when I cooked this the first time, even though there were a lot of raised eyebrows around the table, everyone had at least one slice and gave it the thumbs up! Everyone said it reminded them of pancake day.
A great accompaniment to many meals or just lovely served as a starter or main - any spare dough balls can be cooked and served along side this with olive oil & balsamic vinegar to dip into. Best done in a hot outdoor oven - approx 300 degrees
Another firm favorite of ours - this ticks all the boxes!
For those days where you just can not decide what to have on your pizza - go big or go home!
A really simple dish, best cooked at low temperatures for a long time so either keep the oven at around 150 degrees or pop the dish in once once you have cooked and are letting the oven cool down. Serve as a side dish.
The grand finale to a meal, the Lemon Meringue Pizza. Having taken a few attempts to crack this one, I now have this down to a fine art. The crispness of the base, the sharpness of the lemon and the crunchy topping of the meringue leading to the soft, melt in the mouth meringue below. Perfection on a platter.
Love them or loathe them, the anchovy is a great topping for a pizza. Lots of health benefits too as its high in omega 3.
